Telling stories through creative image-making
Jim Darski is a motion designer residing in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since 2021, a staff designer at Apple Instructional Products and previously at Apple Marketing, since 2015. At Apple, Jim has worked on a wide variety of motion design projects including UI/UX recreation for marketing videos, concepts, 2D and 3D animations for social media, in-store displays, product launches, and conference presentations. His involvement in these projects includes visual development, concept boards, motion tests, and final design and animation.
Before that, Jim worked for several post-production and motion design facilities throughout the Bay Area. In addition to motion graphics, he supervised design and editing teams, developed workflows for junior artists, edited and art-directed videos. The clients include eBay, LinkedIn, Chevron, Skype, PayPal, HP, Playstation, Bay Area Bicycle Coalition, Northern California EMMY, Neil Young, and many more. He worked as a Senior Motion Designer, Art Director, and UI/UX Designer for a tech start-up Verum Securities. Also, he taught motion design at the Art Institute of California, San Francisco.
Jim is a dedicated motion designer, loves to solve creative and technical challenges, and is always ready to learn. The tools: After Effects, and other Adobe CC apps – Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and more, Premiere and Final Cut Pro, Cinema 4D, Storyboard Pro, and iPad visual design apps. He is also familiar with rendering farms including Deadline and UI design software like Sketch.
